As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Guanajuato is famous for its prodigious silver production over 3 centuries. Casa Estrella is fortunate to overlook the “veta madre” (motherlode), Mina de Valenciana. The cobblestone street alongside the property was the ancient path leading to the Mina de Guadalupe with its picturesque Baroque architecture including flying buttresses. You can “feel” the silence of being situated high above the city center!
